Niching Down

SD COOK is an established home remodeling company in Pennsylvania. The owner, Steve, started this company 10 years ago, and his business has grown leaps and bounds over the years. Throughout the last couple of years his business clientele has progressively become more high-end due to craftsmanship and word of mouth.

To this point, SD COOK has had no real branding to speak of. The objective here was to establish a recognizable brand where there had only been a word-of-mouth business.

Setting the Tone

After our stratgey meeting and some brainstorming about direction— I put togther a moodboard and sent it over to Steve to make sure we were on the same page.

Misson Accomplished

I wanted the logo icon to be as elegant as possible. I also wanted to avoid a trendy logo or anything overly feminine because of the nature of the business, so I dived into research and sketching. The result is a logo that is both architectural and classic.

This branding package I created for Steve accomplished all of his goals. Such as giving his business its first real brand, meeting all of his style requests, and being overall gender-neutral.
